Lesson Information
You will meet us at our HQ in the centre of Newquay Town to meet your very own experienced Coasteering guide and to get suited & booted (wetsuits and trainers…leave the high heels for later). No coasteering look is complete without a buoyancy aid and helmet, cameras will be at the ready!
Once suitably dressed, you’ll take the short walk to Towan Headland, our coasteering site to be given a short but important brief on some key techniques and some points to be aware of to get the most out of your session.
Towan Headland in Newquay is one of the many beauty spots of the town, offering plenty of short wild swimming elements, traversing along the rocks, sluices, gullies, tame to epic jumps (not compulsory!!) and if you’re lucky some seal watching.
Our Coasteering sessions for Hen Dos are private and tailored to your group giving you the full Coasteering experience, at a level and excitement that suits everyone.
FAQs
No, you won’t need to do anything you don’t want to. The jumps start small and we work up progressively and we’ll coach & encourage you every step. Everyone has their personal limit and we respect that, whatever the height.
You won’t need to complete a jump to continue with the session
You’ll be wearing a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, trainers and a helmet so unsurprisingly you’ll feel quite floaty. There are small sections of swimming for which your guides are there to assist you with if you need. If you feel any feel uncomfortable at any stage your welcome to leave using one of the many exists along the route.
You’ll need to bring lace up shoes you don’t mind getting wet, swimwear for under your wetsuit and a towel.
That’s fine. We have plenty of people joining us that are not confident with heights or certain elements – you won’t have to do anything you don’t want to and can easily skip out certain bits and still carry on with the session.
